Artist's Comments

Time is a sort of river of passing events, and strong is its current; no sooner is a thing brought to sight than it is swept by and another takes its place, and this too will be swept away. -Marcus Aurelius

I've decided nobody reads descriptions so I'll keep it short. Took the picture at the bottom myself, birds are brushes by anodyne-stock manip'd in. Applying some new techniques including going for better image quality and realism, dynamic lighting, colour schematics etc etc... also trying to "pioneer" into some new regions such as the planet aurora and the supernova remnants. Taking advice to keep things simple led me remove alot of things and discard ideas, in the end I think it definitely helped the final product.

Please note that the big hurricane weathering is happening because the two largest planets are drawing close together and so you've got some weird gravitational disturbances there. Also that the aurora is caused by the big pink star and where you can see the lights is the top/bottom pole of the planet.

I'd love any feedback so drop me any comments or crits you got and I'll be sure to read them. Prints will be available as soon as possible.

Beautiful work once again, i love how this isnt terragen, but a real pick...works very well :)

I think the second flock of birds (left) could have been left out, and the sky/space transition could have been elongated and more evenly flowed through (color also could be more evenly distributed)

Overall another nice work from you

Keep it up

Few pieces of art compare to this - the colours are tremendous, impeccably done and the detail I think is remarkable even though the photo is kinda grainy ;P - yeah and the effects with the planets you got are pretty novel with the atmosphere's doing that... crazy.

What I don't think works so well is the composition of the rocks... they look squashed into the frame like youi planted them there. They should have appeared naturally overlapping the border, or at least more graceful... wierd really... but it doesn't matter all that much.

Wunderbar!

Yea I loved the pic and figured I had to make a piece out of it, I would have like to make the tranny longer but the problem= prints, certain dimensions and stuff drove me into this constricted canvas. However next time if I make another one of these I'll definitly consider the tranny and space needed right away. A good point about the colour. Thnx for the crit!

Do you have a print-name sig? (Like a different name for your prints?).
:icongenocide-54:
Nope, it's the same, if you're wondering about this piece the prints should be on their way.
