Well here's a piece that took about 6 hours, personally I like how the galaxy turned out and how much better my planets are, anyways Im interested in seeing what you guys think of it-- as always C&C is appreciated
firstly let me say this is a fantastic piece
however being a realism nut, there are a few things that i want to point out. Firstly, because stars are very bright, it is difficult to see distant stars when there are bright stars in the sky. This is why we cant see stars during the daytime . In your piece you've put brighter stars closer to the sun - there should be none around the sun, then more and brighter stars as you get further away.
Secondly, i dont like seeing that many things at once (although thats just my preference) because space is really big and largely empty, it seems overcrowded. Don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic piece and im going to +fav it as soon as i finish ranting, but if it were just the planet (w/ sun) and the galaxy the effect would be heightened, drawing more attention to both. At least thats my opinion.
i'm much in awe of your skills

great job, but you stole my name!!! [link] <--- SEEEEE??? And we submitted at the same time too! I like the galaxy, although i think it could use a bit of work, detail and such. The planet is too uniform, you should add a different texture as an overlay so it looks less conforming.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
